Destroy Windows 10 Spying Updated with More Microsoft Hosts and IPs to Block

Even more features to protect your privacy in Windows 10

Destroy Windows 10 Spying is one of the apps that help protect your privacy by disabling all data tracking and collection services in Microsoft’s new operating system, and thanks to an update received today, it should be able to do that even more efficiently.

Version 1.5 build 361 brings support for more hosts and IP ranges, which are supposedly being used by Microsoft to send the information it collects from your computer.

Basically, this is how the system works: Microsoft uses Windows 10 to collect info from your computer, which the company says is being used exclusively for improving its own service, and not for anything else. This information is then sent by Windows 10 to a number of hosts and IPs, so what Destroy Windows 10 Spying does is to block access to all of these.

And thanks to today’s update, the app should be able to prevent data from being sent to even more IPs that might be used by Microsoft for data collection.

Additionally, the new version also comes with support for German, so more Windows 10 adopters can use it in their native language.

Obviously, this little app is really worth a try if you’re a privacy-obsessed user, so you should go ahead and download Destroy Windows 10 Spying right now to see what this is all about.

Does "Updated with More Microsoft Hosts and IPs to Block" mean this is going to be a constant 'cat & mouse' game?

depends how you look at it & what you want to achieve
no way am i letting them put Win 10 on my pc unless i want it lol

personally would be more concerned with security rather than privacy with all the bloated apps that come with it the amount of hacking thats going on these days is a bigger concern in my view

Win 10 aint ready for me & more importantly i aint ready for it

I don’t think they would dare, especially since they know that the world have their eyes on what MS are up to.

So it just means they’ve found a way to safely block more Hosts and IPs.

Canada Looking into Windows 10 for Possible Privacy Violations

Officials say they want to make sure the OS respects privacy

Microsoft does say that users can disable data collection features in Windows 10 at any time from the Settings screen, but the simple fact that the operating system comes with all these services turned on might actually be a problem in certain countries across the world.

In Canada, for example, local authorities are looking into Windows 10 to make sure that it complies with the country’s legislation and that no privacy violation occurs.

The EU will probably get around to looking into it in a few years time. Look out for more annoying "This site uses cookies" type warnings. :(

they have upset a few rightly so with their policies of pushing with no regards to users

So would I be right in thinking I can do a clean install using this .ISO and using my product key as found using the method described in post 754 of the Windows 10 thread?

To be honest I'm not sure

In theory yes but this ISO is an insiders build 10565, so unless you are an insider I don't think you will be able to get it activated.

Are you registered as an insider?

If not it is easy enough to register as one

I think I did register, but I didn't do anything at the time. I'll give it a bash & see what happens.
