Win 10 or win 8.1

Hello guys,

Just received the parts for my wife's pc upgrade.
Cpu: i3 6100 skylake dual core 4 threads overclocked to 4.5ghz.
Ram:8 gig ddr4 Kingston hyper 2666
Mobo: Asus z170-e with bios hack to unlock bclk to get 4.5ghz
Crucial ssd 240gig
Gfx :shitty HD 6670(next months upgrade)

She has been long overdue an upgrade and will be using it mostly for games, I think she is playing something called 'blade & soul'

Big question is win 10 or win 8.1 I have managed to source both on free trials.

Windows 10 hands down, 8.1 is terrible id rather use Vista.
 
Hands down always windows 10. You get your start menu back and it's just better in general
 
Hi, I'd go for Windows 10
- Skylake systems supported on Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 / Support will be provided until July 17, 2017 and its recommended that these systems be upgraded to Windows 10 -MS

- The latest Windows 10 Build (1511) improved stability so for me there wouldn't be a reason to stay on 8.1
 
Build done
Hack done 4.5ghz/2666ram

Win10 installed and surprisingly no bugs crashes errors her game works fine.

She can only full about 15 fps with this gfx card any recommendations for about £150

No doubt , Windows 8.1 ,

Windows 10 was not good, not to mention that Microsoft collects data from users without their permission . Install Windows 10 only if you do not care about your privacy.
 
Windows 10 seems fine for thus skylake build
Put an r9 280x in it and it's now doing 100fps on her game.
She's happy I'm happy, time to turn off the privacy issues
