1) You'll need the Wii Flow Channel Forwarder - then read the readme that comes with it, it tells you where to have the wiiflow wad placed so the forwarder knows where to look

2) Wii Backup Manager should get the games then use WBFS Manager to put them onto the external hard disk

You can use forwarders which will be a channel on the home screen.

There are varying ways of doing what you want.

I don't know about Wiiflow, but with Config USB loader, you can start program, stick the disc in, press "+" and it will install backup your game from disc.

If you already have iso's of your games on the PC, I use Wii Backup Manager. The HDD does not have to be in wbfs format, but files will be. As you are aware, their is a maximum file size that fat32 can handle, WBM splits for you. (An alternative is to partition the drive, apps on fat32 and games on NTFS.)
