just here for a right rant and rave about our local female gp :(

hubby has bad asthma and recurring chest infections, he normally see's a male doctor he's brill btw, but 4 weeks ago had to see a woman quack, the silly bint gave him useless antibiotics and no steroids and said he'd be fine, four weeks later and 3 courses of antibiotics and a week of steroids he is beginning to feel better, but no fooking thanks to the silly bint, could she not just have given him them in the first place :( there feel better now.

is this a nationwide prob or just local, do the docs actually read the patients notes before they go in, or are they just hell bent on saving the nhs money, cos its a false economy in most cases.

Unfortunately your local GP has a budget to keep to, which is why they prescribe generic tablets instead of fancy brand named drugs.

The main culprits to blame are junkies, most of your GP's budget will be spent prescribing these leeches with Methadone three times a day as a top-up between fixes - with the possibility of added extras such as sleeping pills.
