Which PSP to buy from fleaBay?

Guys, I want a second hand PSP that's easy to mess around with. I'm watching a few eBay but I don't know which model is most "adaptable". I've never had a PSP and I just want something cheap that won't be too difficult for homebrew.

Did you get a 1003 model and have you adapted it if so what method did you use - just got myself one to play with and its a minefield of what to do and i don't want to brick it
