What system to get?

Hi all, I am looking at maybe purchasing a satelite set up and use c/s. I have always used cable before and was looking at getting a Kryptview, but they seem to have quite a bit of glitching lately and the cost for a HD model is expensive. So I thought the satelite route could be better and far cheaper.
I would like a decent receiver with HD & EPG. Not quite sure on where I get the sub from? Also, I already have a sky dish up, can this be used with a new LNB?
If there is a tut on what to do and where to get everything from, could someone point me in the right direction.
