Can any one help, i want to design a profetional looking web site and have Macromedia Studio MX 2004. Its my first attempt, and would like a kick in the right direction either a tutorial for macromedia or recommend an easier package to use.
Any info would be much apreciated.

Hi m8

I have tried several packages and the easiest I have found is Serif Web Plus. Its not to expensive and you can usually get a deal web site is www.serif.com.

What I would say is find a package and stick with it!

Hi mate, when i first used the macromedia package 5 years ago, i thought this is hard man, but after looking around on others sites for tutorials and stuff, it was actually really easy. www.ultraweaver.com is a good 1. well anyway its ur choice.

Thanks for links to tut's. Much appreciated

have a look at this web site which is designed by our university teacher.it has a tut on Dreamweaver MX
Where is the link m8?

I've used multiple programs and I find that Dreamweaver MX is the better one, and if you know HTML, Homesite is also a good option. I also recommend getting a magazine called web pages made easy. Teaches you basics to advanced and you also get some free software with it.

Webstyle4

How u doing m8.
Try downloading Webstyle4 from xara.com.

Get the trial version or emule it for the full version.

The pages already come build for u and all u need to do is change whatever u dont like.

Edit this after using dreamweaver for the text and for some picture.

Very easy to understant and to use

Hi m8,

nice web site.... did you use Webstyle4 from xara.com to design it?

regards

i would use dreamweaver. its used everywhere and it sort of like a benchmark software that most people understand.

if your looking to design an online store u can't go far wrong with http://www.oscommerce.com open source online store using php / sql you will still need to know a bit about graphics design/html/php to customize it but its not hard and works well

yes m8....i will in future try and build a tutorial on how to use the software.
For someone that understands about this, this will be a peice of cake, but to those that have never got involve in a web page creation, this will be a peice of cake as well...ololol

ill post the links for the software, this will only be avaiable for 3 days from todays date.

U must use Win ISO, has this cames in a bin.file format.

Its a big soft, ence the reason for splitting in 3 parts, but all features are "fixed" in this version

i use Web Page Maker. it's the best, and easiest. it comes with many premade templates for begginers, and professionals. u can upload ur site using the built-in FTP or u can just export the HTML files. and move them onto your own server.
