for anybody who is waiting for the ps3 iso loader from PARADOX, like i am. and who is going to rush home with your shiny new ps3, to get it registered on playstation network inorder to receive the free blu-ray of Casino Royale.

be aware that there will be a firmware upgrade required inorder to logon to the network, the update will be available on euro launch date. this may mean that sony will plug the hole in the system on launch day. this isnt been confirmed anywhere, its just my own opinion.

so just be careful, ask yourselfs whats more important to you, free Casino Royale or free games!

my vote goes for free games, they can keep their blu-ray. it aint worth the risk of upgrading the firmware.

yeah i heard about this today and was going to do a post but you beat me lol

according to people in america with the updated firmware it stops you dumping the image of the film or game onto the hard drive.

Another iso loader will be done, it just will take a fair while. After all the playstation has been out nearly 6 months and there just getting round to bring out a ISO to play backup games.

deedie - the firmware also allows you to play your old(er) ps / ps2 games - i'm defo getting it upgraded as I don't wanna miss playing pes6.

my ps2's dead anyhoos! i'm willing to hang on for a loader - i'm sure motorstorm and resistance and virtua tennis 3 along with genji will keep me going.

Team Xecuter confirms Paradox exploit: pimps PS3 Hyperdrive
Posted Feb 02, 2007 at 10:31PM by Ian C.

Listed in: Mods, News, Hacks and Exploits
Tags: Team Xecuter, ISO, SATA, IDE, Hyperdrive The word on some forums is that Hyperdrive and Paradox loader">Team Xecuter will be releasing a simple "adapter" for the PS3 that is cheap and easy to use. It is reported that the "adapter" is set to work with their still-upcoming PS3 Hyperdrive. The adapter will be ready in 3 weeks in time for Paradox Loader, which is real, and works/loads in a method that is "similar to psp"

If in case you're a bit confused, we'll run through it again for you. Remember those rumors about a PS3 ISO loader by Internet release group paradox? The one Max F. reported on last December, and the one we reported to be undergoing testing around a week ago? Well, a post by Xecuter on the Team Xecuter forums confirms that the Paradox Loader works. He says:

I am releasing a simple adapter first that is cheap and easy to use - will be ready in 3 weeks in time for Paradox Loader (which works)

The adapter Xecuter was talking about, is an early release just so that PS3 users can hook up larger drives with ease while while they wait for the PS3 Hyperdrive. Xecuter says that what we're waiting for should work well in tandem with the Loader. The Hyperdrive is set to have the following features:

Connect any 3.5" SATA Hard Drive to the PS3
Developing ability to connect IDE hard drive
Supports up to 750GB (maybe more thats all we have here)
Switch between external HYPERDRIVE and internal 2.5" HDD
HYPERDRIVE USB2.0 Support to dump data to/from HDD
We'll update you folks about this in 3 weeks time. Or sooner if more information is made available. Stay tuned!
