Veal with apple and sauerkraut

Something, can make you a preferred chef from you friends

Serve 4

Ingredients

800 g of veal brisket
2 Apples variety Golden
1 head cabbage
1 large onion
1 clove of garlic
apple vinegar
2 sprigs of thyme
2 tablespoons honey
extra virgin olive oil
salt
Pepper

Method

Peel the cabbage damaged outer leaves and removing the core, then divide it into quarters, remove even the toughest ribs, slice very thinly and wash.
Peel and slice the onion to the veil, let it dry in 3 tablespoons of oil together with garlic, peeled and crushed, then add the cabbage.
Let soon season on a high flame, add salt and pepper, then lower heat, cover and cook for about an hour, stirring the whole time to time.
When cooked, add 1 dl vinegar, turn up the heat and allow to evaporate for 5 minutes.
While cabbage is cooking, prepare the tip: arrange them on the grill of the oven, placing it directly on the plate, then cook at 180 ° C for about 1 hour and 20 minutes.
After 40 minutes turn it , add the thyme and cook, turning occasionally and brushing with honey.
Add salt and pepper after cooking, then remove the meat, keeping it warm, and transferred the cooking sauce left in a pan.
Peel apples, cut into slices and brown in frying pan with the sauce.
Serve immediately the meat, very hot, with sauerkraut and apples.
