got an rec 900 which plays all formats , watched we were soldiers on it brilliant on vcd, borrowed it to a m8 who has got a multiregion player but it wouldnt play on hes, ,

is there a way that you can alter it to play vcd,s through the remote,as you can do to alter from region 1 to all regions .to play vcd,s or is he stumped.or would he have to buy a different one or perhaps get it chipped thanks in advance <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

If the player wont play vcd, all you can do is try the film on a different brand of disc. Princo (datasafe) work on some players. <a href="http://www.vcdhelp.com" target="_blank">www.vcdhelp.com</a> lists dvd players that support cd-r.
