I'm looking to use MT8183 based tablets, with the battery removed - the battery tends to be the worse (and fireprone) component of cheap tablets.
However, attempting to boot without a battery present doesn't allow the boot process to go base the MediaTek "MT65xx Preloader".
Since the device is connected to power, what exactly would the boot process expect from the battery?
