I have loads of eps and found this excellent free app.
it renames the gobbledegook file names into something legible from various internet sources and has vast customisation options, so ideal for media players and HTPC's or just plain PC's if ye so wish.
seriesrenamer it's on google code, and seems an active project so the developer would probably be open to enhancements, bugs etc.
