telnet probs on dm600

ive always used telnet to back-up and flash an image on dm600
and done it this way

cd /tmp && eraseall /dev/mtd/3 && cp backup.img /dev/mtd/3 && reboot

ive type the above command into telnet press enter then i get

-sh:eraseall:not found what does this mean,why wont it telnet an .img file
into the box

From what i can remember the image already on the box might be corrupt and you need to use a nullmodem serial cable and dreamup have you tried that?

for dm600 u cant flash like that in telnet enter
mount /boot -o remount,rw
rm /boot/*
reboot

then use web broswer to flash image

what a burger i always thought it was other command or is that for dm500 ?? (senile dementia settin in )
