So it says.....
Teletext (Integrated Teletext)
Integrated Teletext allows using Teletext services with the device, whether the connected TV supports Teletext or not
Haven't got one myself so can't test, sorry .

Found this on another forum.
Installation:
If you already have the tuxtxt-caching feature installed in your Image
(should be in most images built in July 2005 or later),
you should use the version in directory /cache otherwise use the one from /nocache.
Just copy tuxtxt.so and tuxtxt.cfg to /var/tuxbox/plugins
and the font-file tuxtxt.otb to /var/tuxtxt
But I can't actually find anywhere that the tuxtxt plugin can be downloaded from. Think it is already included in some images, possibly downloadable from the blue button.....

I cant find tuxtext on the blue button on pli jade.
I'll try a google search and see how it goes.

I've just downloaded the tuxtxt file and was going to play with it later

just google tuxtxt and ftp the files over and manually install.
i did it on my dbox2 some years ago.
and yes, its only use is subtitles (that i know of)
im pretty sure that the dm500hd comes with better subtitle features though. no?
