Could i technically use the data plan element for a tablet?

I know some providers don't allow this.

EDIT: Actually I've just noticed something better on their site, which I was surprised at.

GiffGaff do 500Mb data for £5.00 which lasts a month and you have to load it, T-Mobile do a 1GB Data rolling per month on a 30 day contract, for £5.00 which is enough.

Virmin media do a contract phone for £14.50 you can get a galaxy or HTC and you get 5GB data a month 500 mins and 1000 texts

It used to be £19.50 but has went down to £14.50 I think thats a bargain as you also get a phone 18 month contract though.

Tmobile do these half price deals from time to time. I got a 2 year contract 300 minutes, 300 texts, unlimed landline, unlimited internet (so they said) for £7.50 with a Galaxy Ace thrown in - immediately given to mrs and the sim has migrated through my iphones

If my iPhone is using the T-Mobile 3G connection then i have seen mine give faster speeds than i used to get on GiffGaff. However the problem is once the phone switches to Orange 3G, it then grinds to a halt. From looking at the T-Mobile forums it seems its quite a common problem although i can't find any response from T-Mobile to say why

just checked the web and found that they are capping speeds at around 3.5mb
