System update stopped cant boot into dash

Hi all,

My mate gave me his xbox over to put the latest firmware on it. I switched it on to have a look at what dash was on it but it started doing a system update. It got to half way and then stopped saying it couldnt read from the disk. I opened the drive and there was no disk in it. I've tried to put the latest update on a USB stick but it won#'t even start. The error code im getting is...

22FB-351F-B800-0F00-C000-0013.

I've flashed the drive back to stock firmware.. its a Benq btw.. shoved it back in and that message is still there!! Any ideas how to sort it?

edit.. i tried the update link that microsoft supply for that error code, and it wont apply it.. it starts briefly then just stops again

if the update wont run from usb after the drive has been returned to stock. you should try doing the update from a disk. look here
