Hi, i wanna try one of these tuners out, once you have a list for sat and cable, when changing to channel on either does it flick over instantly ? and could you record channel on one and watch on other ?

You can not record one and watch one no, unless with the sat side your both your channels are on the same transponder.

These tuners can only do one format at any one time.
