Streaming MKV files

Hey,

Was wondering if anyone knew of a streamer that will play MKV files straight off?

I know nothing about streaming or MKV files, im asking for a friend.

why dont you buy a stand alone media player, I got the Cyclone MKV encloser and fitted a 1 terabyte hard drive, Ive networked this through my router so Im able to stream from pc or just copy the movies onto the internal hard drive, this has played every format I have thrown at it.

the median media player also plays mkv files h264 or x264 720/1080 all perfect and any usb drive or memory card /stick can be used

Depends on what you want to stream to.

I use ps3mediaserver to stream MKV 1080p & 720p files with DTS or Dolby 5.1 to my PS3 and they get served in full quality video and sound.

ps3mediaserver also works with the xbox260 and any other DNLA equiped device, like some of the latest TV's and Blu-Ray players.

Doesn't answer the guys questions and you would never buy it directly from the manufacturer anyway.
