startup disk

could someone please explain to me how you make a startup disk for me pc..thanxxx

this is how m8: My computer/control panel/add-remove programs, then press the start up tab at the top of the window and there ya go.

Failing that u can do it from a dos prompt with the command:

sys a:

"stevr" using "sys a:" as you sugest does not make a start up disk, this only makes a boot up disk and will not have any of the start up disks utilities that are required to try and recover your system, nice try though, just thought i would add this for any other newbies, please make sure you make a start up disk with all utils and not just a boot up disk, on your head be it should your system ever fail....
