Sony KDF-E50A12U & Bulb

Hi, have one of these 50" lcd tv's for approximately 2 years. The bulb is now going (model number xl-2400). Looked on google and there going for approx £180. Does anyone know if there are any copy bulbs available anywhere, or can the bulb be removed from the holder and replaced.

Any ideas appreciated.
