hi all im having problems ive just purchased microsoft flight simulater 2000 and playing it takes ages to load and play..why? also ive lost my password bit that comes up when i start up my computer...im using win 98 second edition....please help...thanx

It sounds like u have damaged your registry in ya system and it had replaced it with a backup of a older registry or the "default" registry i would uninstall your filght sim and reboot
the password may come back after a reboot if not check to se if your a user in your system if not just add yourself again with your password and it should come back then do a scandisk incase you have crosslinked a file or dammaged a cluster...MAY BE BEST TO DO THIS FIRST...and then reinstall your flight sim...if the problem still arises if u have ligit software ie win98 and flight sim contact microsoft support ...hope this helps if rate me as im still a new member on here thanx...baz

all you should have to do is delete all files ending in pwl this should sort your password prob

Sorry but pressing cancel, escape or close dialouge box will let you start your computer but any personalised stuff will not be accessable or chaging settings that is not permitted outside of login!
hope this helps you
W!77

Maybe you are running out of hard disk space so Windows has less virtual memory to work with, or maybe you do not have sufficient RAM or processor speed or a good enough graphics card to run Flight Sim effectively (I don't know the minimum specification for the game).

Jondoe is spot on, if you have trouble with Windows passwords you can search your computer for files that end in .pwl as these are the files that store all your windows passwords. They are usually found in the "c:\windows" directory of your hard disk. Simply delete them and your problem is solved.

Good luck.
