Does any any one know if the portal for the Xbox360 would work on the Wii?

i've not tried it yet . but i'm led to believe that if you plug it in to the wii before you switch it on then it will work.

Had a quick try at this, with out any luck. Plugged in the USB cable before powering on the game started to load but stopped at "plug in the wireless connection" I could not get it to go any further at the time.

I do not know if it makes a difference the Wii was softmoded over a year ago.

A review, I plugged the portal in before running the game and it did not run. Tried to plug in the portal in before powering on the Wii and the machine will not load up, power on and you hear the disc being checked but he TV does not even see a signal and I have to hold the power button in to shut down.
