Happy New year to you all

I am a DBox user myself but have just been given on old Samsung SMT – 2100c NTL box !!

I think its one of the old chipped box’s from about god knows how many years ago – I think when these things came out the top had to come off and you had to play around with the inside.

I have plugged it in thought I might get free view for the kids but nothing says ld20 then ld30then loading navigator then ar52 and a black screen with the V logo !!

Is there anything I can do with it ??

Or should I just bin it now ????

EM = engineers menu, accessed by pressing and holding both the up and down keys on the front of the box and powering the box up, when the front display reaches ld:14 let go of the keys and the box will boot into the EM.

Cards and proggy's can be had from all over, unapit, TMC, and a few others.

It took me a while but im getting better learning all the time !! feels good

no net id wrong do i change it to mine ??

If it was to go back to the original owner would I need the fun card and programmer?

It’s a family member you see might be NY treat for her !!

It would work ok in it's original area without changing the net id but you will need a card of some sort to put in the box, you already have the ird/bk so it should be as simple as writing a card and putting the 2100 in stream.

or Unapit.com supplies: USB Phoenix Infinity Smartcard Programmer.

Depending on what you are going to use. If you only ever intend to use funcards TMC's writer is a snip, I was given one of the simple funcard programmers and it's works fine, if you intend to use other cards the phoenix proggy may be a better bet.

also double check to see if talk back has been cut too

manchester can be either of these net ids:

Manchester 1 NTL/C&W, 41040 000000 6887
Manchester 2 NTL/EX C&W, 41060 666750 6952
Stockport NTL/EX C&W, 41066 666750 6887

Choose wisely :)
