I have an old illumination system from a Vision Systems microscope, and I think the gooseneck lamp (focusable) would be ideal for my lathe. It's well made (in Surrey) stuff, heavily built.
The illumination unit looks like this, there is a cylindrical heatsink at the back, I'll have to orient it differently. The bulb is actually at 90 degrees to the gooseneck.
The PSU is designed to provide 75W at 12V. The bulb sockets are just the basic two prongs.
It's a GZ6.35 type fitting.
What's my best Amazon bet here? The bulb that is in is 20W and isn't bright enough for what I want. I might just stay with dichroic but LED might be better.
Thanks for opinions .
