renault megane extreme 06

went to get my megane extreme checked out this week as i want rid off it.the problem is the revs are very low once i start the car and sometimes quite hard to start.ie if im sitting at lights it will sit around 600 rpm and the engine will sound as if its about to conk out.the mechanic told me i need a throttle body at 120.00 and a charcoal filter at 80.00 and then that might not be the problem.

i asked him could i not get these parts 2nd hand ie scrapyard,he told me the throttle is programmed to the car.so i can get the filter but not throttle body.

any good mechanics here could do with some advice pls.

the throttle body u can get secondhand it will need adapting to the car once fitted

could you give me a bit more info does it need programming of sorts or will it just go in.also is it an easy job to do or complicated.

basically if u get a new 1 it will need adapting / programming
if u get second hand unit u still need to adapt / programme

programming is simply a 5min job with a decent tool

fitting the part i got no idea as i let the grease monkeys do that
