hey fellas,
ive got a dvd in ntsc format in an iso. Is there any way to remove the region coding to make it work on a pal dvd player?
cheers

anydvd running in the backgound while useing any dvd burning software might work but as said above i think the region is removed while beign ripped not while beign written. try it. use anydvd burn the film, if it doesnt work rip it while anydvd is running and reburn.

Dead simple, go get AnyDVD and rip the DVD, then burn it back onto a blank DVD using IMGBurn as suggested

All defaults on AnyDVD are set to remove region coding automagically and IMGBurn is FREE

You can use AnyDVD as a trial as long as you want, you just won't be able to save any settings and it has a countdown to force you to wait before you can rip the DVD, so really its also free just very very annoying hence you then go register it to get rid of the counter

If its bigger than a 'normal' DVD-R, run it through DVD Shrink, which is also FREE (even though its not updated anymore but people still use it)

Or have a look at DVD-RB free, which uses HCEnc to give a much better quality output than DVD Shrink, but is much slower, as it rebuilds the DVD from scratch to match a given bitrate where DVd Sjrink strips what it think syou won't see, much like MP3 in stripping what it thinks you won't hear to get the very small file sizes

dvdregion&cssfree great program runs in the background makes your pc think any disk inserted is non copy protected, use dvd shrink and nero to burn.
