With three Premiership games taking place on Sunday and another on Monday, Saturday's fare is a little light this weekend.

Nevertheless, the Uefa Cup matches on Thursday mean that the three promoted teams can take a step into the limelight.

Record-breaking Arsenal entertain Bolton Wanderers in the first Premiership game of the day, live on Prem Plus, before five games kick off at three o'clock.

Crystal Palace, Norwich and West Brom are all in action and Mark Hughes takes charge of Blackburn Rovers for the first time when Portsmouth provide the opposition at Ewood Park.

On Sunday, Graeme Souness's first league game at Newcastle United takes place at Southampton, live on Sky Sports, with Chelsea's London derby with Tottenham also on your screens.

Manchester United, and Rio Ferdinand, face arch rivals Liverpool on Monday, another game live on Sky Sports.
