PIPEX is making broadband even more affordable !

In our continuing campaign to make broadband services even more affordable, we are delighted to announce that we will be upgrading you to our
PIPEX Solo 1000 service, at no extra cost !

The speed of your service will be increased to 1Mbps automatically as part of a
network upgrade programme PIPEX is undertaking, which will run during the
spring and summer this year. However, if you want to take advantage of the
higher speed sooner or go even faster with our new PIPEX Lite 2000 service with a 5GB usage allocation, and do not wish to wait for the network upgrade you can do this now for a one off fee of £15 (inc of VAT)*,
Although I think it wrong that existing customers have to wait while still paying same amount as new customer who signs up for 1MB ... unless you pay the £15 to upgrade now ?

if you are already on 1MB then whats the problem ... you are probably paying same as I am yet I am only getting 512

I decided to pay the £15 to double my speed rather than wait, at least they now have 1Mb at a reasonable price - not the cheapest but i've not had many problems in the time with them.

does that mean that once you d/l 5G you are cut off for the month?

id rather stay on 512 and be unlimited i think

i just had my mail :):)

im gonna wait for them to upgrade me to the 1 meg as its then unlimited, if you spend £15 to be upgraded faster there is a limit on your downloads.

once im upgraded ill ring them and say im leaving as i know people who got 2 meg unlimited for the same price and voila, free upgrade lol

(i hope)

I was on Solo 500, expecting to upgrade to 1MB, just had confirmation email, tested the speed on adslguide and its 2MB - Yippee. And at the same price i was paying for 500k.
:) :)

Steve what were you on before ? I was on extreme 1 meg unlimited.
extreme 512 .. have been for nearly 3 years

wonder why they are offering the 1MB connection on their site for same price as I am paying for 512 .... seems to me they are not looking after their 'older' customers first ... feel they should have upgraded the 'older' customers first before offering 1MB to new customers ...

Why should I pay same for 512 when a new customer can get 1MB straight away for same price as I am currently paying ????

They are not replying to emails I have sent ... looks like I will be telling them what they can do with their broadband

know how u feel steve i wasn't happy when i read the small print, i aint payin for it if there gonna give it to me free in a month.....but i do want 2mb/s lol
