Pc game didgital download

Hey I have bought Forza horizon 3 from cdkeys you get a code to use in the microsoft store or windows store or what ever it's called...


Anyway I entered the code and started the download

My question is it is downloading it twice
Forza horizon 3 and forza horizon 3 standard edition

Any one know why it's downloading twice..

Can you see 2 physical downloads in downloads and updates?
You should only see 1 version in my library once its installed

I got my key from the same place and it just downloaded the standard edition.

I have absolutely no Idea what is going on there, I only had 1 download, although it took a huge chunk of my hard drive until I did a disc clean up after the installation had finished.
I would let it continue and see what happens, if it installs both, you should be able to remove 1.

forza horizon 3 standard edition and included in the bundle is forza horizon 3?

don't make any sense to me.

No that makes no sense to me either.. unless one is Xbox only but then it wouldn't install to the pc.

Maybe burn it to disk?
I'll see what happens when it's downloaded

Both files are the same size they downloading at the same speed..

It's very strange I'm no gamer so this is all new and strange to me anyway....

one more thing if i click MY LIBRARY both are showing downloading, if i click SHOW ALL it says works on this device and shows FORZA HORIZON 3 only and not the standard one...

so no idea what its going to do with the other one..

After the download the game installs to C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft
I think...
There is no physical file like an ISO file to burn to disc...
And as i understand it the digital download should work on both xbox and pc regardless of what version.
Will be interesting to see what happens when they are downloaded.

I would of thought the standard edition and the forza horizon 3 edition would be the same thing.

Does it go to program files or program files 64bit ?

Yes I'll post what happens be a good few hours before the download finishes.

All this so I can stream it from my pc to my Nvidia shield tv lol

Not sure of the exact location. Theres a windowsapp folder on my C drive that cant be accessed. But a google search shows it is in program files (86)

If you have a decent gaming pc mate you wont be dissapointed. Both of my lads have it on xbox and they both say my pc version is better visualy.
Its also cross platform so you can play online with people who have it on xbox.
I do with my kids...needless to say i get my ass kicked lol

Keep an eye on your hard drive space to see if its taking up 110gb for both versions.

You need the xbox app and an account but its free to play online on pc.
I think windows 10 already has the xbox app installed, just create an account

Ok thanks I'll look. When I installed the demo I had to set up a Xbox tag/account so I think I have that..

I'm taking it you need head set and mic ?

And can you play online if your streaming it to your tv through Nvidia shield tv?

you can have a mic, I havnt got 1, when I'm playing with my lads we video call on WhatsApp and have it on loud speaker lol.

I cant see why you shouldn't be able to play online through the shield, ive not tried it with forza but I can play infinite warfare online when I'm streaming to my NVidia tablet.

well its downloaded and installed shows both games in my Library but shows one in show all and one in add and remove programs.

tested it and it works and streamed it to my nvidia shield drops the od frame evey so often but it ok

You have to play for about 3 hours and open so many festivals before online mode is unlocked.
