mmm....padded walls....so soft...
There are a couple of Roku LT and Roku 2 XS teardowns on the internet but nothing for the Now TV box. As it's a customised version of the LT, I thought it might be worth a look inside...

For size comparison here is the puck next to the remote. (The remote isn't that much smaller than one from a Nintendo Wii.)

As you can see the antislip hides 4 torx screws and access to what looks to be a test port in the base plate.

Removing the base plate reveals reveals the IR pickup for the remote, and some other interesting things.

Towards the top right of the first picture you'll notice space and solder points for an Ethernet port, and along the left side an area for a USB port - these features are only found on the Roku 2 XS and Roku 3 models. However the chip that would control those features, should be where that copper square is in the middle of the PCB.

Removing the PCB from the case, and turning it over reveals that the Bluetooth antenna and transmitter/receiver chip are also "missing".

The metal plate is an RF shield for the wifi transmitter/receiver chip and the CPU.

What is presumably a test/flashing port doesn't have any clear markings.

However, anyone wishing to flash a Now TV box with vanilla Roku LT firmware may be disappointed. Before you can do anything with a Roku box, you have to first register it to your account using the serial number. Esentially meaning that, until a custom or hacked firmware is relased that gets around this, side loading is likely to be the only option for unofficial apps such as Plex.
