Thank you for your continued support, we have not moved software platforms since 2005!
We was a keen vBulletin forum but vBulletin decided to make a bloated VB5 platform and drop support for VB4, We cannot continue to operate with thousands of visitors daily and a bloated software that is not supported.
To our Long standing members we know this will be a challange and you might not like change, but please explore all options and give it a try, we will of course over the coming weeks try and bring back the items from vbulletin that you enjoyed the most.
We have setup a thread for discussion and feedback here:

No, there is not a typo in that headline. Nokia really is bringing back its iconic Nokia 3310 this year, according to a reliable source. It will be one of three handsets unveiled at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona later this month.

Before smartphones became so popular, Nokia’s incredibly successful feature phones made it an absolute behemoth in the mobile industry. One of its most recognizable devices was the 3310, a handset that sold a whopping 126 million units worldwide.

Almost 17 years after its release, the 3310 is still remembered for its near-indestructible build and stellar battery life. Nokia is hoping to capitalize on that by relaunching a “modern version” of the device this year in partnership with HMD Global.

Details are still scarce for now, but it’s thought the new 3310 will be very similar to the original. Battery life and build quality will be its focus once again, and the handset will be priced incredibly competitively to “win over nostalgic former owners for use as second phone.”

According to the ever-reliable Evan Blass writing for VentureBeat, the handset will cost just €59 (approx. $63). The device will primarily target European markets, while plans for other regions like North America are unknown at this point.

Relaunching the 3310 might seem somewhat pointless in 2017, but it could be a genius idea. Nokia could sell a lot of units to those who still have great memories of the original, and even if it doesn’t, the relaunch will surely spark new interest in the Nokia brand.

In turn, that could raise awareness of new Nokia devices. Blass adds that the Finnish firm will launch another two Android-powered smartphones at MWC, all of which will be manufactured by hardware partner HMD.

They are expected to be named the Nokia 3 and the Nokia 5. The Nokia 5 will reportedly use the same Snapdragon 430 chip as the recently-released Nokia 6, with a smaller 5.2-inch display, 2GB of RAM, and a 12-megapixel rear-facing camera.

It’s unclear what we can expect from the Nokia 3, but Blass reports it will start at just €149 (approx. $158), whereas the Nokia 5 is likely to cost €199 (approx. $212).

Used to love nokia, they didn't move with the times very well though. Symbian was a disaster, and they let everyone else leave them in their dust. I have a feeling Microsoft will screw something up with them.

Through the week I use a small older phone with better battery. I'd like them to bring back the 8210 and the 8310.

I just refurbished my SE K810i a few weeks ago, I had a spare provider locked one so mine got the keypad (ribbon went and had to squeeze case in a certain place to get the keys sort-of working), rear shell and plastic bezel. Had to mask and glue the screen and keypad plastics into the front bezel as they were all detached due to the pressing... Works again and looks better but I still get an occasional charging error, still doing OK for being a decade old though.

I know it's a cop out, but I tend to use the camera a lot on my phone... if they could squeeze in a 5M pixel that would be nice

    But defeating the object lol

They say "modern version" but I am guessing its more to do with capitalizing on nostalgic marketing like Nintendo did with the NES Classic, rather than actually offering a good product revision that credits the legacy of the original.

PS>> While the Nokia 3310 handset was good, I don't think you would be much interested in getting the same carrier service and rate plans that came with it!

Is Nokia bringing back the 3310 and who would want a retro phone?

Rumours suggest that Nokia is planning to bring back their iconic Nokia 3310 phone.

Mobile users of a certain age have been getting very excited on social media about the return of this sturdy, reliable handset.

If you were in the market for a new phone in the year 2000, then the 3310 may have been on your wish-list.

But when Newsbeat contacted Nokia about the rumours, the company refused to comment.

"Though we're as excited as everyone else to hear their news, as we have often said about such stories, we do not comment on rumour or speculation," a spokesperson tells us.

Nokia 3310 mobile phone resurrected at MWC 2017
Nokia's 3310 phone has been relaunched nearly 17 years after its debut.

Many consider the original handset iconic because of its popularity and sturdiness. More than 126 million were produced before it was phased out in 2005.

The revamped version will be sold under licence by the Finnish start-up HMD Global, which also unveiled several Nokia-branded Android smartphones.

Are they still linked with Microsoft or was Nokia sold off?
