no sound on wmv movies

Just transferred some hd movies to my ps3 and whilst it plays and shows video there's no audio.

Am I doing something wrong??

Would prefer to play them directly on my ps3 and not use tversity or PS3 Media Server. Is this not possible??

Any help would be appreciated

have u activated wma playback in the system settings??

if u have/or do, and it aint working then it may be encoded in wma pro. the ps3 can not play this audio

Some WMV audio is not supported i think, especially if they are bluray rips

There is a small free program called mediainfo i think that should tell you if its wma-pro.

wmv is a crap...
i have loads of these film types myself , about half of them have no audio ...
way too fussy for my liking, try to re encode it ?
