Players of the PC version of Battlefield: Bad Company 2: Vietnam are on the verge of unlocking a new map for the game, ahead of the Xbox 360 and PS3 editions.
Developer DICE announced before the game's release that a fifth map would be included in the downloadable add-on and that it would only be accessible once the community reached 69m team actions - which include reviving, resupplying and assisting teammates.
PC players are now less than 4m from that requirement and it is predicted that they will receive the new map, Battle For Hastings, to play ahead of their console counterparts as early as today.
However, the game was released a few days earlier for PC on December 18, while the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions were made available on December 21.
Fudzilla reports that the PC edition has twice as many team actions as the Xbox 360 version.
Sources say that it might be another week before gamers receive the map on Xbox Live. PS3 players are apparently looking at two weeks before they unlock the map
