New 360 with 47D

Hi All

I just got a new 360 from Tesco and was rather surprised to discover the drive in it is an Hitachi 47D December 2005) .... The Console date is Feb 2006.

Just seems a little odd that Tesco would have stock which is rather old?

Maybe my suspicious mind is working overtime but it seems real old stock considering we are in June 2007.

Anyone else made a recent purchase and got old stock???

Was kinda hoping for a later unit in the hope they may have made them a little more reliable by now

mate of mine got one from argos not long ago had a 47 drive 2005 in it
manufacture date of console was 2007 though
