Places I have tried on the WWW want me to buy metres of the stuff.

Only need 4"x3"x1/4", 1.5" long, 2 of.

It s to make an L-bracket for my DSLR.

Any metal workers/tradesman out there who can help, would be much appreciated :)

Local scrapyard might be a good place to look. Funnily enough I recently made a bracket for my DSLR, I just used a piece of an old TV wall bracket I had lying around.

A diagram might be of use, I'm sure 4"x3"x1/4", 1.5" is four dimensional! :)

He wants angle to be able to do this: DIY L-Plate / L-Bracket | DIYPhotography.net
@daveleebond : There is a website in the link above, they don't list non-US shipping, but don't say they won't either - might be worth contacting them. If they do ship to UK, post back as I might be interested too in the near future.

found an ebay uk supplier, will cut to desired length, £6.30 for 100mm, so will get two sections out of that :) (downside it's 4" x 4", but I'm sure I can trim it down)
@pob that's the article I got the idea from, ordered a second QR plate from China for my manfrotto head.

There's a company called aluminium Droitwich on ebay, if they don't have what you want listed call the and they'll add it for you
