My sons DS keeps wanting you to do the startup, caabration, system date, time and birthday. once you enter it, it restarts and asjs you to enter the same info again.

Battery is great, works in another ds hold a charge for hours. I read some thing about an internal battery, but couldn't find one.
akaik there isn't an internal battery... (could be wrong though)
i know you have to redo those settings when you take the main battery out, which makes me think the problem would be there.
what about the contacts, they look ok?
does it do the same if you switch it off/on with charger plugged in?
