I would watch a quiet place first film if you haven't seen them, they are creature feature movies, monsters from out of space horror. I enjoyed the first one.

I haven't seen it, but I believe the recent Mortal combat movie was supposed to be ok. An older movie I enjoyed was Love of monsters.
