MKV's stutter and lag with the audio on one box but are fine on another - any ideas?

Hi,

Ive got two htpc's both with the latest version of Kodi on one PC will play remote share's (mkv files) fine without any stutter or audio sync issues and the one which has the files locally plays up all the time.

Any ideas whats causing this please?
