Ok, so im scanning for mac's using DHCPForce, and ive got quite a few mac addresses
However, out of say 400 only 6 have config files listed, this isnt normal

I rememeber scanning for mac's about 2 years ago, and the majority of macs found had config files, so im confused as to why only a tiny amount of the ones found now do.

Can anyone shed some light onto this?
Im in a ex c&w area if that makes any difference

Thanks

are you behind a firewall or router? A direct modem connection is required.

No what you are experiencing is quite common, it's even stated in the haynes guide but the previous poster is correct in saying that you cannot be behind a router but due to the fact you have actually got MACS, i think you are fine in this respect. Last night i scanned for 2hours retrieved about 300 MACS and only 4 were legit with config files etc.... My advice is if you know someone in a different UBR ask them to leave DHCP force running over a couple of days and get a few results that way.
