As Turner Brown said, it is possible on a PC with certain components but it's not that easy, and matching compatible hardware on a laptop reduces the odds even further.

I have Lion running on Vmware using guides from Soul Dev - depends how much system resources you can throw at a VM on your system, but runs good enough for me.

Yes, there are multiple ways of going about this, but one of the best ones that I know of is a ISO called Kaylway. You need to first burn this to a CD, boot from the CD, and then type in the proper commands, install the proper kernels, and patch in the proper KTEXTS in order to get the PC to be fully functional. To be honest, it's not really worth it in the end, because at best, you get a 1/2 functioning MAC that isn't worth a damn. Stick with PC, cheaper, more open source, and a lot of fun
