Lotus Notes 8.5 StartTLS error

I have installed Notes 8.5 on my laptop ad have got it configured to use my hotmail account for sending and recieving.

I can recieve emails just fine but when I try to send I get the following

SMTP protocol ruturned a permanant error 530 5.7.0 Must issues a startTLS command first.

any ideas guys ???

Im running windows 7 my pop settings are pop3.live.com port 995, SMTP is SMTP.live.com port 587

Are you using the hotmail smtp server or the isp smtp server mate?
