Hey guys. I have a laptop that wont boot.
It started yesterday with an hal.dll error.
I fixed that and then got a ntoskrnl.exe error
i fixed that but now i have a :- load needed dlls for kernel
I have followed steps to try and fix this including
chkdsk /r
bootini /rebuild
fixmbr

I still get the same error
PLEASE HELP

If you have the operating system cd/dvd boot with that and do a repair, if that does not work you will have to do a clean install. If you do not have backups of your files/folders you will have to tick yes to installing in the same partition but make sure it says your old installation will be saved as old windows (or some such) otherwise take your hard drive out and connect to another pc/laptop via usb to retrieve all your info. Good luck.
