in-car cd changer

Can any of you guys answer a question for me. I have a Ford mondeo with a ford 500 rds EON radio cassete unit, my question is would I be able to instal a different make of cd changer ie.sony,kenwood etc, as I have been quoted £400 just for a ford changer (robbers). I understand that the connections/leads may be a problem anybody advise?. thanks in advance H

hi m8, ur best off buying a new head unit and multi-player together, u can get a decent one for around £250. i f u look in a car mag like fast car there r loads of companies doing good deals in there.
