keep gettin this error message on imgburn

what am i doin wrong i am using ridisc xtreme dvd+r dl disks if this helps please this is me trying to burn the games for a neighbour ..
 
sounds like your burner may be on the way out mate, there cheap enough to get a replacement pioneer one like.

couple of questions.....

can it burn other duel layer dvd's ?
how long has this been happening?
How long you had the burner?

are you selecting the .dvd file for the burn? and not the iso?


i'd put money on it's the burner gooshed.....
 
burner is new as is the pc other dvds burn fine it's only these ones that are playin up i have only just started to try and burn duel layer disks
 
you could try and update the drives firmware as this might help but it could just be the disks and your burner aren compatiable

your getting a few IO erros, is the burner on the same cable as your hard drive?
 
not sure will have to have a look don't think so ..any other ideas are welcome as ive wrecked three disks so far

have you tryed changing this format to ntfs as i am thinking, if this is a xbox game it going to be bigger then 4gb ?
 
it's also saying that you want 2 x speed but 4 is the min have you tried writing at x4 speed.....

it's grabbing the image from C though bud, that's just a warning about that attached drive.....

Should that not be DVD-Rom?
 
i'd say try a 4 x speed burn, and then some new disks if that don't work...
 
just burned a dvd and put it in the console and it comes up the xbox 360 logo but thats as far as it goes have i done anything wrong
 
no, how did you do it? get it to burn then? and how you making a copy of it? is this a download or a copy of a copy
