IE8 & FF6 - page can not be displayed

Hi all

Hope someone can help.

For some reason i am unable to access any website. When i load IE8 or FF6 it loads to my home page Google, when i do a search or try and enter a web address i get Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage or Server not found Firefox can't find the server at go to a webite.

Can anyone advise what settings i sould be using or someway to resolve this please.
