HTC has announced that it will be deleting data backups stored on HTCSense.com while it upgrades the service.
The company instructed any customer with contacts, messages or call history saved on HTCSense.com to download the data as zip files before it is removed on 30 April.
"HTCSense.com is undergoing a renovation to improve the services and value we deliver to customers like you," said HTC.
"If you have been using HTCSense.com to sync your contacts, messages, Footprints or call history, you can download your data through 30 April. After 30 April, your data will no longer be accessible and will be deleted."
The company gave no indication what renovations or changes it would be making during the site's downtime and at the time of publishing HTC had not responded to V3's request for clarification.
Additionally, HTC gave no firm date for when the service would resume.
"We apologise for any inconvenience. You'll be among the first to know when the new and improved services are ready," it told customers.
However, considering the company's forthcoming flagship quad-core device, the HTC One X, is due for release by the end of the year, which will be running the Sense user interface over Android Ice Cream Sandwich, it is likely the service will not be down too long.
