i have tried this on my 3ds but it locks up when loading the gateway

but ny 3ds is on firmware 9.4.0.21

dont think it will work as the 3ds is on 9.4

no if you update it now you will no be able to downgrade the 3ds as your 3ds will be 10.1 firmware

Gateway 3DS Ultra

only works 2DS, 3DS & 3DS XL (Firmware 4.1 - 9.2)
