As a new IT graduate I find myself a temp job in NHS through agency, and so im supposed to be a data entry clerk but of course i end up doing jobs of people who get paid £28k+...now the brilliant government thinks up a plan to make savings by completely freezing all new public sector jobs...thats nearly 30% of job market for new graduates gone.

Not only that they give the job of making cuts within the different local NHS areas to the f**king executive idiots in those areas who were god damn responsible for all this ridiculous overspend and waste of public money. GREAT. Where do you think they're going to make all these cuts??? No not their own pay or expenses, but people like me who do all the f**king grunt work.

Thats ok I accept that, so I apply to an IT academy which is funded by government branch to help young people aged 16-24 get extra qualifications (in this climate these are essential to get a IT job) to help them get a job.
But yet again I find out this tosspot government does not think anyone over 18 matters and freezes all funding for over 18s due to funding cut proposals.

F**king excellent, they saddle me with debt which i use most of the money made from my industrial placement to pay off, then they take my temp job away from me, and now they deny me the training I need to better my chances at getting a job.

So while people who have done nothing for this government or country get everything handed to them on a silver plate, people like myself who pay taxes and have done everything the government has asked of gets a big screw you.

Thats the end of my essay and im not going work tomorrow so these c*nts can do their own damn work for their own damn governmental report deadlines.

You will learn as you get older it doesn't matter what party is in Westminster in Government they ALL rip the money anybody earns.

Some people will blame the torys others the socialists but tbh those that fit in the middle fair worst under any parliament.

If you are destitute the system should take care of you and if you are very rich you take care of yourself, and everybody else in varying degrees gets shat on.

Dont know how old you are but as you say you are a new IT graduate then early 20's perhaps.

Ask any of the older generation those now in there 60's and 70's and say who has f***ed up your pension, the answer will be that nice Mr Brown. Many of that age have paid 1000 and 1000 into for 40+ years and they are getting nowt back.

I know how you feel mate, I am at uni at the moment doing a Adult Nursing Degree.... Do not know if there will be jobs for us once we qualify .... and if there are we have been told to expect a rather big pay but compared to current wages !!!
So get student debt of around £10k over 3 years, and then fook all to pay it off with and live... even though we do 14 hour days most the week !

Welcome to the big bad world, everone is struggling at the moment and ultimately if you aren't happy with your job in the public sector then you might want to try the private sector. The big problem at the moment for the government is too many civil servants, somebody has to pay their wages.

mostly conservatives for their half assed method of making public cuts

Without getting too political, who exactly do you think took away grants for students? Who do you think ran up enormous deficits that need to be covered? And how do you expect the country to keep funding all these over-bloated departments.

This countries debt needs to be paid back, the sooner the better.

i worked for the NHS for a short while, like any other goverment body it was full of waste - both staff and resources. maybe it's time someone else took the reigns to try fix it.

it's hard times for everyone, the good times for the past 10 years which seems to be a decade of credit - is over.

IT is a hard sector to get into, took me 18months to get my first IT job in 1998. You just need a lucky break - hang in there.

Have you tried plumbing?

Seriously, cuts need to be made. You have seen the deficit right? Let alone the actual national debt. Heavily unionised workplaces will pull their faces over pay and budget freezes, but it needs to be done.

The last government cocked up with a poorly designed and unneeded IT system that ran way over budget. I will give you another example. I know someone who runs an NHS department. Twenty years ago, the department was formed and had 4 consultants. Now, because of the EU working time directive, there are 12 consultants who manage the same workload. That's where your money has been going.

Now, whatever they do to rectify the deficit, people will complain. That comes with the pain of slashing public spending. But someone needs to balance the books. When you spend more money than you earn you get into debt. I just hope the coalition has the balls to finish the job, and actually have the UK in a position where we are earning more than we spend.

Yes, some other people will talk about investment for growth etcetera, but that time has passed for the moment. In twenty years time we will be spending, and growing again, until the next bubble pops. It's the way of the world.

If you want to make money, you would be better off giving it a shot and going self employed. People need services, and when the government are not supplying them the private sector will.

it's like our national GDP we've borrowed against - sort of what the nations wealth is worth in the eyes of other countries. sort of.

it's not physical borrowing from another country but using money we plan to have/make/produce/etc..

as you can tell, i ain't an economist. :p

no, we're borrowing against what our currency is worth and what the country is valued at within the world ecconomy.

We're a tiny country BUT we have power in world politics and the world ecconomy. it;s how money follows around the world. Afterall, Money is only a promise of services hence why on our notes it says ''I promise to pay the bearer...". It's all trust and estimated value - hence why greece/portugal are in trouble....
