hexgen help

im using shareware version of hexgen 3 .i put in serial no turn code protect off as i was told on forum before .create hex then go to program chip corrupt data or cant verify .losted loads of chips can anyone tell me what im doing wrong.program all other chips no just the 12c509 for cable so is there something wrong with hexgen
