Hi m8 i have the hex codes for the ps2 12c508 8wire or 16c54 11wire if that would help been lead to believe that the 12c508 would work on the ps1 as well............Gazer

Hiya folks,

The need for a boot disc can be eliminated by installing an extra wire link,check out the info at max-king,you will need a very fine soldering iron bit however,1mm fine point is what I use,or as an alternative there is a new prototype hex,personaly i'm sticking with the standard ps1 hex for now.

The wire link at maxking involves having to change the software on the copied game. I have the hex for the 508 if any one is interested that allowsyou to play all formats in full colour with no boot disk, no patches and no hassle. Free for the asking.
